| DNRD hotline attracts tremendous response from the clients |
|
12 April 2007
The new toll free hotline number (Amer), 8005111, has received 647 calls since it was launched by the Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) last month, Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of DNRD, has said.
Commenting on the success of the new service, Al Marri said, “We are interested in having one call centre covering all the naturalization and residency departments in the UAE. The Amer service is the brainchild of DNRD and calls received in Dubai are transferred to the authority concerned in the residency departments of each emirate.”
People can use the Amer service to file any complaint related to domestic workers, sponsors or any delay in processing various kinds of applications in the department. It can also be used to present any suggestion that may enhance the service for a better customer satisfaction.
“We like to treat our customers like our partners, exchanging ideas and comments with us for a better performance. When an operator receives a call, he or she fills in a complaint or suggestion form,” added Brig Al Marri, explaining how the system works. “We welcome calls from all people because it will help both sides.”
Apart from the toll free number, 8005111, which is available 24 hours, the Amer service can be reached by fax (04- 3981177) or one can visit the web site, www.aamer.ae.
